The program I use is the extremely old Adobe Photoshop 7.0, but it does the job well so I can't complain! However, I will warn you that this tutorial uses adjustment layers for curves and hue/saturation in addition to regular layers, so if your program doesn't have those, then, uh, you're kind of S-O-L as far as this coloring method goes.

This new batch is a personal experiment to see what I can do using screenshots/official art, text, and the inherent tools within Photoshop (shapes, gradient, whatnot) as well of a test of my own creativity without the aid of brushes or textures. It has been a struggle somewhat, and there are a lot of rough-looking icons in this batch as well as some that just don't seem to work, but I think that overall I'm reaching some steady ground?

This is definitely a work in progress, and I greatly appreciate your feedback (good or bad). If you don't like something, just tell me why it doesn't work and what I can do to fix it!

You've noticed I've had relatively few updates, yeah? Well I'd been feeling a stagnancy with icon-making, but I think I just needed a change in style to bring it back :)

This will be my last batch of icons where I make use of textures and brushes for a while.
